I think it still needs some major tweaking to reach anywhere near MySpace levels. For example; I couldn't remember how to even add you as a neighbour after reading your blog post. It's not plainly obvious how to add someone or perhaps I'm blind... eventually I found connect. And then that requires I know your nickname. Ugh.

They really should just adopt the Flickr convention when you mouseover someone's avatar -- like identically. With the dropdown arrow and everything.
Chris... we do. Unless I'm misunderstanding you, just mouse over any userpic and you can easily add someone to your neighborhood/friend them.
