I love how just by cheap camera tricks and cheesy 70s music they made this guy into a "cyborg". God TV sucked back then. Andre the Giant plays Bigfoot. Awesome!

Kevin... you should be able to embed it via the insert video function. We don't (currently) allow you just to paste a URL in although that's definitely on the road map.

But honestly you should just allow me to post raw HTML... Are you worried about cross site scripting attacks?
Hm...... If so I bet I could beat your HTML import system ;) . XSS prevention is HARD. :-/

Yeah, I just don't think we're going to go to raw HTML editing, it's just not what this platform is about. Nothing to do with XSS, TypePad and LJ deal with that fine. Vox is about communicating with your friends, not bit tweaking. We all thought we wanted HTML editing too but within a few days of playing with Vox realized that not having it actually frees you up to worry about talking and having fun and not about twiddling. We (and the rest of blog world) have plenty of platforms that let you twiddle.
Yes..... but then you prevent people from working with edge cases (like this one).
Six Apart will never be able to anticipate new and innovative services that might have some type of interesting embedded content.You don't have to make it front and center but providing support for HTML editing I think is really important...
Then again I'm a web geek :)
